Laguna Beach

We arrived in California Friday night.  So of course, Saturday morning we headed to the beach.  It was a clear, windy day and the wind was c.o.l.d!  We walked along the beach and explored the rocks and tidepools.  There were big starfish latched on to the side of the rocks and sea anemones in the shallow pools nearly hidden in the rock crevices.

The girls splashed around a little in the waves and of course some of them got very wet.  Brrr.  I was cold just watching them.  We found out that you always need to be aware of seagulls, especially those flying low over our heads.   It only took one girl being bombed and the rest of us were on alert afterwards.

There are more pictures in our family photo album if you are interested.
