Cold winters aren’t all bad. There is a lot of fun that happens in places where the temperature stays below freezing for months and rivers freeze solid. It doesn’t get much better than slipping and sliding on the ice.
Here’s a man made hill packed with ice and snow for tubing.
Hanissa was a little unsure, at first, on the slippery ice, especially in the places where the ice was clear and you could see through multiple layers.
She finally decided that she liked “swimming” on the ice more than standing.
Ice skates are just one of many ways to slide on the ice.
They have these great “walkers” to help those still in the learning phase of ice-skating. Of course, the girls thought it made a great sliding chair.
After going around the rink twice, the girls were taking off layers. Scarves, hats, gloves, and more were cast aside. I guess its all what you get used to.
Not saying I’d want this weather year round, but it is nice for a short time.
