We heard about a farm, not far from us and decided to check it out. It was more than the usual farm experience.
We were met at the entrance with a host of famous cars.
There were some Hanissa sized vehicles, too.
We even found a pretty, pink tractor.
There was a train
And of course, UFO’s, with cute, little aliens.
And there were other things to see and do as well.
Of course, the day wasn’t all fun and games. We came to pick vegetables. And pick we did! All the attractions were just a way to spend time while we were waiting on our ride out to the fields.
We sat on bales of hay with about 40 other people in our trailer. The tractor took us to a field and we hopped out and grabbed whatever veggies we wanted. Then we loaded up and headed to another field.
After picking, the tractor dropped us off back where we started and there was a mad dash to secure a wagon to carry our vegetables to the car. Three wagons for veggies and one wagon for Hanissa and we were set to go.
Heat, sun, hard work, sore muscles, more sun. It was a great day. We met some great people and learned a lot about farming.
We ended the day exhausted and dirty, but…
Fresh salsa, spaghetti sauce in the freezer, plenty of onions, corn, potatoes, and more. Oh, it was worth it all!
