Silent Night

Anticipation had been building, emotions were high, circumstances were overwhelming, but still God seemed to remain silent. Where was the Promised One? Did God know what was happening to His people? Was He watching? Did He care?

At just the perfect time, in the perfect place, God moved. Angels appeared to man, a virgin conceived, God was about to reveal the Chosen One. The world fell asleep not knowing that this night, Hope would be born. This night, the promise was fulfilled and redemption had come.

Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia,
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born

Silent night, holy night!
Son of God love’s pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus Lord, at Thy birth

God’s purpose, His timing was perfect. The news of Christ birth would travel around the world without the need of electronic help. Redeeming grace was extended to all men, not through a catchy slogan or a Super Bowl commercial, but through the Son of God, born to bring us peace with God. Christ the Savior is born.
